I was hired by some of the best companies — Apple, Google, Tumblr, Airbnb, and Lyft. I helped launch iPad, Google Drive, even self-driving cars.

But eventually, I had to take a hard look in the mirror and unlearn everything I thought leadership was: the hustle, the hiding, the armor.
